The Lancaster Success Programme provides a welcoming and inclusive environment, where students are encouraged to develop their self-awareness and to explore and celebrate their individual versions of success through a programme of coaching-led activities.

The post holder for this exciting role in the Student Success Team (part of the Social Mobility and Student Success department), will provide vital support to the project administration, delivery and evaluation of the Lancaster Success Programme and other activities that support the recruitment, retention, attainment and progression of widening participation (WP) students at Lancaster University. 

The Student Success Team is a vibrant, dedicated, supportive team which contributes to the University’s strategic objectives relating to social mobility and widening participation, leading to the University receiving the recent national awards of ‘upReach University of the Year 2024’ and upReach 'Student Success Initiative of the Year 2022'.

This role is varied and multi-faceted, which will require the post holder to work closely with colleagues across the Social Mobility and Student Success department within External Relations and a wide range of colleagues in divisions and departments, as well as students.  

The successful candidate will have experience of working in an administrative role along with knowledge of the student lifecycle in higher education. You should be able to work on your own initiative, have good written, oral and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently with colleagues, students, university staff and external contacts.   

The role holder must be willing to work flexible hours as the role will require occasional weekend, early morning or late night working as well as occasional periods away from home.

This is a full time (1FTE), indefinite role, however we welcome applications from those considering the role on a part-time basis or other flexible working arrangements.
