What we’re looking for

Are you an experienced HR professional who can combine wide-ranging HR knowledge with motivational leadership skills.  We have an opportunity for the right person to help us: 

  • shape and implement effective HR strategies and programmes
  • enhance our staff experience, enabling employees to flourish
  • facilitate workforce planning discussions, whilst dealing with operational activities such as dealing with employee relations.

As HR Partner at Lancaster University, you will have personal impact and professional credibility to act as a representative of the People and Organisation Effectiveness Division. Your knowledge and insights will be essential in implementing our People and Culture Plan and the University’s strategic goals. 

An appreciation of the HR issues related to the higher education sector would be desirable, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with an excellent track record of being a HR generalist in a large, complex organisation.

This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 18 months.  The role is full time, however, we are happy to talk about flexible working and operate with a blend of presence on campus and working from home.
