The UK Student Recruitment team, based within the University’s External Relations division, is responsible for attracting and encouraging applications to Lancaster University from across the UK for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The team are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Student Recruitment Officer. Working as part of our established and friendly UK Student Recruitment team you will develop and maintain our face-to-face engagement initiatives with schools and colleges in order to promote the University and higher education to prospective students, across the UK.

We are recruiting a regionally based Student Recruitment Officer, to develop and maintain our face-to-face engagement initiatives with schools and colleges working to increase the number and quality of applications from target schools in London and the Southwest. 

Working within an established team of remotely located UK Student Recruitment Officers based in the Midlands and the South of England and the UK Regional Recruitment Manager, this role will deliver a range of virtual and face-to-face activities for prospective students, parents/carers and teachers/advisors, as well as developing new, impactful recruitment and conversion initiatives and evaluating their impact.   

This is the perfect position for a highly organised, self-motivated and dynamic individual who is skilled at presenting and engaging with prospective students. It is an excellent opportunity to develop a strong engagement skill set in a supportive and friendly team within the diverse University community. 

The role will require, extensive periods of travel around the UK, specifically within London and Southwest regions, visiting schools and colleges and attending events, outside office hours and working occasional weekends. 

The is a full time, permanent role. For internal candidates, a relocation to the target regions of the role will be essential. 

Please note - the region this role focuses its recruitment activity on is London and the Southwest. We will only consider applicants who live in or close to the focused areas and are willing to travel. The role is therefore offered on a remote, home working basis but with regular trips to and from our Lancaster campus.

This role requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check, as a result we will ask successful candidates to complete this check as part of the recruitment process and any offer will be made based upon the satisfactory result of this check.
