Part-time TAS Security Node Project Manager

EPSRC’s Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) program is composed of a Hub node and 7 thematic research nodes each aimed to explore high-value fundamental research for specific themes of trustworthiness. Lancaster’s Security Institute will lead the 3M TAS Security (TAS-S) node for a 42-month period starting Nov 1, 2020. It is partnered with Cranfield University, and supported by a range of UK, EU and intl. academic, industry and policy partners including Airbus, BAE, Raytheon, Thales, NATO, CMU, EC-CONCORDIA/CODE, AIT, TTTech, Academia Sinica, Arthurs Legal, RISE, UK Coast Guard.    

To execute the Lancaster security node (TAS-S), we are seeking a dynamic project manager.  You will be responsible for proactively supporting the principal investigator and the project committees in delivering the project’s research programme, including but not limited to: 

  • Day-to-day management and coordination of TAS-S.
  • Ensuring effective communication of the project aims, objectives and activities to the project’s internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating project-internal/inter-node workshops, seminars, dissemination and outreach events. 
  • Support on reports and presentations for the project. 

You will liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders for the delivery of the programme and maintain effective communication channels with project partners. You will also be engaged in the planning, organization and facilitation of the projects’ engagement and dissemination events, including maintaining the project web site and other online resources. This is a challenging and highly rewarding role for someone interested in playing a key part in a major research effort focused on the future of Cybersecurity. You will join us on an indefinite contract however, the role remains contingent on external funding which, at this time is due to come to an end on 30 April 2024. 

This is a part-time 0.50 fte post.
