Working hours for this role are Monday-Wednesday 9am-1pm, Thursday-Friday 9am-12.30pm plus up to 7 weekend shifts and overtime opportunities. We are happy to talk about flexible working start times depending on travel arrangements.  

What you’ll be doing 

We are looking for a cleaner to provide routine and reactive cleaning duties to support our aim to make campus an inspiring place to be such as cleaning all teaching spaces according to schedules, ensuring standards of work are carried out to the highest standard and done in line with university policies and procedures with regards to health and safety.  

You could be working in:  

• lecture theatres 

• technical laboratories 

• the library 

• the sports centre 

• offices, or 

• at indoor events. 

You will be part of our Facilities – Service Delivery department - a team of 250 people – delivering a safe and high-quality environment for our whole university community.  All equipment and University branded uniform is provided for this role.  

About you

• recognised experience in similar environments

• to be reliable and hard-working 

• achieve high standards in their work 

• flexible approach and attitude.
