Lancaster University College at Beijing Jiaotong University

Lancaster University is seeking to appoint Lecturers (Teaching and Scholarship) to join our team at Lancaster University College at Beijing Jiaotong University.  The positions are based in China at the Weihai Campus in Shandong Province.  

Our successful Joint Institute with highly ranked partner Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), opened in 2016 and has grown rapidly.  There are now around 2000 students registered on Lancaster University programmes and further expansion is planned.  Located at the eastern end of Shandong Province, Weihai is a major seaport and popular holiday destination due to its long coastline and abundant sandy beaches.  Teachers are provided with apartment accommodation adjacent to the campus in Nanhai New District.

You should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, a track-record of delivering research outputs and experience of teaching in Higher Education.  You should be a committed and reflective educator with a desire to innovate and contribute to the collegial atmosphere of the campus.  Enthusiasm to live and work in China is essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with evidence of high-quality teaching that can deliver wide-ranging and excellent teaching in areas related to Marketing, Leadership and research skills more generally- at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

You will contribute to the intellectual life of the College through excellence in teaching and teaching-related scholarship. The scholarship perspective will include taking the lead on dynamic projects that bring together multi-disciplinary students from our 5 international campuses and contribute to the development of international pedagogical research.
