Lancaster University Students’ Union provides excellent services and opportunities to support and inspire our diverse population of over 16,000 students to make the most of their experiences at University. With students at the very heart of all we do, we are looking for a Sugarhouse Deputy Manager as part of a strong and supportive wider team.
The Sugarhouse is looking to recruit a highly motivated professional to join their team in the role of Deputy Venue Manager on a full-time contract. This role is a great opportunity to build on management experience, a step up for your career and to develop within the late-night and events economy.
The Sugarhouse operates mainly during term time, although the role is year-round, delivering a minimum of two extremely busy student nights a week, plus additional evening and late-night events throughout the year. The Sugarhouse is the largest venue in Lancaster and the surrounding area, with a capacity of 1348 across two rooms we provide the biggest events for both students and the local community alike.
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about delivering a consistent high standard of customer service and who can work in a high-pressure environment. You will need to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends. This role is customer facing and requires hands on operational tasks, as such you will be required to work at the Sugarhouse Venue which is based in Lancaster.
You must be a Team Player but also display initiative and positivity.
