We are seeking to appoint to 0.4fte Senior Clinical Lecturer, at Consultant or GP level to join the Medical School’s MBChB leadership team as Clinical Director of Year 2 for the MBChB programme.

You will be a practising clinician in either primary or secondary care with experience of undergraduate and/or postgraduate medical education. You will be an enthusiastic teacher, an effective communicator and have strong leadership and organisational skills. 

You will join a dedicated and highly experienced team within the Medical School and work closely with the Head of School and Senior Professional Service Staff. You will lead on the oversight, planning and implementation and improvement of the year 2 curriculum.

Lancaster Medical School is currently undergoing an exciting period of planned expansion of its student numbers and academic staff. LMS sits within the Faculty of Health and Medicine. Our undergraduate medical students attend clinical placements in general practices and partner NHS hospital trusts across North Lancashire and South Cumbria. The Medical School MBChB programme is led by the Director of Medical Studies and comprises an enthusiastic and supportive leadership team of GP and Consultant Senior Clinical Lecturers who take responsibility for various elements of the programme and themes together with a large team of clinical and academic teaching staff, supported administratively by a committed professional services team.
