ESRC Post-Doctoral Research Associate: Incentive Mechanisms for Users and Platforms of Social Networks

Fixed term contract for 1 year with the possibility of extending for a further 12 months.

Interviews are expected to take place on the 8th and 9th December 2022

The Department of Economics at Lancaster University is seeking to hire a Post-Doctoral research associate to work under the supervision of Prof Eyal Winter on the ESRC funded project: Incentive Mechanisms for Users and Platforms of Social Networks. Applications are invited from candidates whose field of specialization is Game Theory, Behavioral/Experimental Economics, or Economic Theory. Candidates should have an excellent academic record of accomplishment and display the potential to produce publications in highly regarded, internationally recognised journals. They should hold a PhD or be close to submission.  

The successful candidate is expected to be an active member of our Behavioural/Experimental and Economic Theory research groups; to participate in the intellectual life of the Department; to maintain a high quality research agenda that reaches out to external networks; and to contribute to research activities within the Department and the Faculty. With over 40 members of faculty from more than 15 countries, the Department provides an international, collegial and dynamic research environment with a commitment to world-class academic excellence, ideal for the development of early career researchers.
