Two posts available, one Lecturer in Chemical Engineering, one Senior Lecturer/Reader in Chemical Engineering.

Applications are sought from candidates working in all areas of chemical engineering, particularly those offering interdisciplinary research experience in emerging areas including green energy and sustainable process engineering, renewable energy and energy storage, biotechnology and bioprocess engineering.

You should have a well evidenced track record of publishing internationally recognised research and of supporting your research program with external funding, or of clear potential to do so.

You will be enthused by the opportunity to mentor colleagues and to work as part of the team to raise even further the high reputation of Engineering at Lancaster University. To be appointed at Senior Lecturer/Reader level you must demonstrate sustained research funding, frequent internationally-recognised research outputs, and a clear potential for subject leadership.

The School of Engineering draws upon over five decades of excellence and innovation in engineering, and today is a thriving centre for research and education. We are now enjoying significant investment in staffing and physical resources and we welcome candidates with the vision to contribute to our ambitious expansion plan.   

We currently comprise over 70 research staff and we work across nuclear, chemical, robotics & control, electronics and materials engineering subject areas. In 2023 we will open our second purpose-built engineering building, with state-of-the-art experimental and laboratory facilities.
