The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) invites applications for a fixed-term (up to 18 months) Developmental Lectureship (DL) position. DL positions are early career posts, intended to enable new scholars who have recently completed a PhD to establish a career in academia. The post carries a 50% time allocation for research to help the appointee establish a strong research portfolio as a stepping-stone towards a Lecturer position. Non-research duties include seminar and workshop teaching plus grading assessments. The Department welcomes applications from excellent candidates in all areas of accounting and finance. Start date is negotiable.
Accounting and Finance is one of the largest departments within LUMS – a world-ranked international business school which has topped the UK research rankings for nearly two decades. LUMS was ranked first in the UK in research power in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework and is one of few business schools whose programs are accredited by all three international business school accreditation bodies: AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB. It is envisaged that this position will further strengthen the academic standing of Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) as a world class international business school. The department offers an excellent research environment, with a high level of collegiality, generous research budgets, and subscriptions to state-of-the-art databases, a strong seminar series, and a senior visitors program. We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
