Lancaster University Library Service is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director: Digital Innovation and Research Services.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to shape and lead the strategic development of the Digital Innovation and Research Services team. You will ensure performance that is consistently excellent, driving the design and delivery of services associated with scholarly communications, open access, research data management, citation analytics and digital preservation to meet the needs of an increasingly global and mobile university community efficiently and effectively.

You will be a member of the Library Leadership Team responsible for directing, developing and overseeing Library strategy, policy and planning, fully aligned with Lancaster University’s strategic intent to become an institution that is globally significant. 

You will be an experienced, flexible and enterprising manager, professionally qualified (or with demonstrable equivalent experience) and with excellent teamwork, interpersonal and technical skills. You will have proven senior management and leadership experience and demonstrable success in a service-orientated organisation, including evidence of effective decision-making and successful management of change in an area of work relevant to the current post.

You will have proven ability to lead, manage and enhance the performance of a team of professional staff, including the development and deployment of effective KPIs to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
