Lancaster Medical School seeks to appoint a one year fixed-term Teaching Associate in Sports and Exercise Science to contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate programme, as we welcome our first cohort of Sports and Exercise Science students in October 2018. 

You will work with the Director of Sports Science and a growing team active in Sports and Exercise Science teaching, learning and assessment as we work together to develop and deliver an excellent undergraduate Sports and Exercise Science curriculum.

We expect you to participate fully in the intellectual and collective life of Lancaster Medical School and to develop a high quality teaching portfolio that enhances our teaching provision. We are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about Sports and Exercise Science, is able to teach a range of topics within that domain, is able to motivate students effectively and is able to provide pastoral support for undergraduate students.  

You will work with academic and professional services colleagues, including the manager of the Human Performance Laboratory and staff based in the sports centre to deliver teaching, learning and assessment, including practical learning sessions. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the curriculum as a member of the Sports and Exercise Science team.
