Lancaster University Law School is one of the leading law schools in the UK and is ranked #1 in the North-West of England. It is ranked #1 for employability in the UK (Sunday Times Good University Guide) and attracts praise for its provision. Having responded to potential regulatory changes and the employability agenda, Lancaster University Law School introduced a number of innovations into its curriculum to enhance the student experience. This has included building a £250,000 mock court room that is fully equipped with the latest in digital technologies.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified legal practitioner to join us and help build on our work. You will work in our Law Clinic, but also teach an undergraduate module on Employment Law.

Lancaster University Law Clinic was established in January 2017 and has already made a real impact, with it providing free legal advice to the communities of Lancaster and Morecambe. We have plans to expand the work of the Law Clinic and we are looking for an enthusiastic member of staff with a commitment to access to justice. Lancaster University Law School has 50 academic members of staff and nearly 1,000 students. As a Law School, we are committed to having a positive impact on people's lives as well as academic excellence.

Staff in the School benefit from Lancaster’s strong commitment at institutional and departmental level to the provision of an environment that encourages and supports them. The Law School has retained a friendly, co-operative ethos that promotes collaborative working. We are committed to delivering high-quality teaching to our students, and we provide a supportive environment to develop teaching skills and innovate the student’s learning experience.
