Research Associate - Safeguarding the legal rights of young people

Applications are invited for a Research Associate position to work on a project investigating young people’s comprehension of their legal rights. The project will involve working closely with Dr Kirk Luther, Cheshire Constabulary, and local schools. 

You will contribute to the design and analysis of the research (e.g., developing and applying a coding framework), collaborate closely with stakeholders, and help produce academic publications and training materials. You will join an active group of forensic psychologists at Lancaster and have the opportunity to engage in the wider activities of Security Lancaster. 

You will be expected to take an active and leading role in developing papers for publication, including help with data analysis.You will have a Master’s degree in Psychology or a cognate field. Prior work on, or knowledge of, the field of investigative interviewing and/or youth comprehension will be an advantage.
