We are seeking a new colleague to join our Digital Innovation & Research Services team and lead our services for Lancaster’s research community.  You will oversee the management and development of our key services for Open Access and Research Data Management.  You will also develop new Research Intelligence services, encompassing citation analysis and bibliometrics.  Your expert knowledge will be key in helping the University prepare to meet future challenges such as Plan S.  You will oversee the management of our institutional repositories for publications and research data, and lead activity to engage researchers and drive uptake of our services.  You will also play a leading role in taking our services to the next level, developing our activities to facilitate a culture of open research and scholarship at Lancaster University.  

You will bring excellent knowledge of scholarly communications and a keen understanding of the role of library services in this space. In particular, you will possess expert knowledge of Open Access, Research Data Management and Citation Analysis. You will have experience of developing services, along with the ability to build relationships across the organisation and influence our research community.  You will also have experience of leading and managing staff, and be able to motivate and inspire your team to deliver an excellent service and drive continuous service improvement.  

This is a full time, indefinite post.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview. Interviews are scheduled to be during the week commencing 9th September.
