The Division of Strategic Planning and Governance is a small, dynamic team that provides support and advice to the University’s senior management in relation to strategy, planning, governance and external compliance.  

We are currently looking for a talented individual to join our team in the role of Strategic Planner (Statutory Data Returns) reporting to the Head of Planning and Analytics.  

A key focus of the role will be to take lead responsibility for the production of student-related statutory returns, including HESA and HESES, and helping manage co-ordination on this process with other relevant parts of the University.The post holder will also be involved in the preparation of and dissemination of management information and datasets to support the University’s decision making and strategic planning process, and preparing written briefings for senior officers and colleagues on the factors affecting the University’s performance against its strategic objectives.

You will have experience of producing statutory student data returns in a higher education context (or near equivalent), possess strong analytical skills, be confident in working with colleagues at all levels, able to influence others, and demonstrate enthusiasm, personal responsibility and initiative consistent with the grade of the post.
