Learning Developer, (Maths and Statistics, Management School) full-time, 10-month fixed-term post.

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Developer (Maths and Statistics) to join our team at Lancaster University. Lancaster enjoys a top-ten ranking in the UK University league tables and was awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework exercise.

You will be responsible for overseeing and contributing to maths and statistics support for undergraduate students in Lancaster University Management School (LUMS). You will work under the guidance of the Maths and Statistics Team Leader, delivering workshops and one-to-one advice, overseeing the daily running of the Maths and Stats Hub and collaborating with programme leads in selected disciplines to embed support workshops within the curriculum. 

We are looking to recruit an individual with a postgraduate qualification, relevant experience of teaching maths and statistics in higher education and preferably a teaching qualification. You will have knowledge of the maths and stats challenges facing first year undergraduate students in the range of subjects in Lancaster University Management School. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of working in a collegiate and supportive way with colleagues and students from a diverse range of educational and cultural backgrounds.
