Lancaster Arts is excited to be recruiting a key member of our team for the heart of our programme delivery. You will take a lead role in overseeing all operations ranging from the delivery of our high calibre artistic programme to the nuts and bolts of what makes the organisation work. You will play a part in our Senior Leadership Team, keeping us on track with realising our objectives within the Lancaster Arts Strategic Plan and helping us to create new ones.

This is a role requiring ambition, creativity, imaginative thinking and an enthusiasm for making complex things simple. It will need a strong track record of working within a professional combined arts organisation or arts centre. Our ideal candidate will be curious and innovative with exceptional organisational, interpersonal, communication and financial management skills. You will also be someone who can grow and develop with us as we explore further opportunities together.

Lancaster Arts is a distinctive contemporary arts organisation in the North West of England with a renowned reputation for cutting edge arts practice in all art forms. We are a part of the National Portfolio of Arts Council England. Our home is at the heart of the beautiful Lancaster University campus and our venues include the Great Hall, Nuffield Theatre and Peter Scott Gallery and we regularly host work off campus in the Lancaster District. We are proud of our artist development programme, which supports and features artists at all stages of their careers. In addition, we host a wide spectrum of events and participatory opportunities across contemporary theatre, dance, music, visual art, live art, contemporary circus, and comedy, and we work closely with partners locally, regionally and internationally to achieve this.

The Operations and Planning Manager is offered on a part time basis (0.57FTE) and is fixed term until 31st July 2020.
