Salary:   £34,804 to £40,322
Closing Date:   Tuesday 17 December 2019
Interview Date:   Wednesday 08 January 2020

The University needs a Mental Health Advisor to work across the full spectrum of mental health difficulties to ensure students obtain the appropriate assessment, treatment, support and adjustments to enable them to successfully complete their studies.

You will be highly competent and experienced in supporting adults with mental health conditions, frequently with complex needs. The role requires a practitioner who is willing and able to adapt their therapeutic skills to deliver short-term interventions to students within the organisational context of a Higher Education environment. You will be required to assess and manage risk and liaise with external services when appropriate.

Based within the Counselling and Mental Health Service within Student and Education Services, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team that experiences high and persistent demand. This varied and challenging role would suit an individual with a high level of personal and professional resilience who is confident working in a fast paced and unpredictable environment.

For any questions please contact Kelly Robinson or Emma McGough within the Counselling and Mental Health Service on 01524 592690.

This is a full time, indefinite role.

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
