Lancaster University’s Department of Politics Philosophy and Religion invites applications for a full-time Teaching and Research Lecturer position in International Political Economy. 

You will have completed your PhD in Politics and/or International Relations, be an engaged researcher, have teaching experience in Higher Education, and possess relevant administrative skills. You will contribute to departmental teaching and supervise dissertations and PhDs, especially in the area of International Political Economy. Applicants with research and teaching interests in one or more of the following are encouraged to apply: global governance; economic diplomacy; politics of economic security; political economy and the Global South. We particularly welcome applicants proficient in quantitative methods and/or IR theory and who are excited by the possibilities of belonging to a dynamic, multidisciplinary department.

Politics Philosophy and Religion is an exciting, interdisciplinary research-oriented and student-focussed department. Home to academics from a range of different disciplines and diverse scholarly interests, the department was ranked third in the 2014 UK Research Excellence Framework, while our undergraduate programmes are consistently rated in the UK top ten for their subject areas.
