Applications are invited for a Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) funded post-doctoral research associate position, situated within the Engineering Department at Lancaster University, to work on a project entitled “5GEM – 5G Enabled Manufacturing”. Part of a collaborative programme involving 8 partners across the UK, the project will involve the implementation of a rea time, feedback, analysis and control within a connected factory environment.  utilising 5G as an enabler Specifically, the project will focus on the implementation of the 5GEM system at the TWI (One of the partner companies) where two test beds will be based

You will join a research team led by Dr Darren Williams, Investigating sensing, data collection and analysis with a working knowledge of machine Learning methods and MatLab. The position is available to engineers / data scientists with experience of implementing data analytics in a manufacturing environment.

This is a part-time 0.5 fte fixed term appointment for 11 months in the first instance.
