You will join a dedicated and experienced maintenance team to work and train in our Joiners Workshop. You will also study with Lancaster and Morecambe College to attain a level 3 NVQ apprenticeship in Bench Joinery for 3 years.
For this apprenticeship opportunity you will:
Be able to demonstrate an interest in bench joinery and some understanding of the tasks involved in the job.
Show a willingness to learn and apply new skills.
Have good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Have or be expected to obtain GCSE grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Be capable of communicating with people across the University and conducting yourself in a responsible and professional manner.
Be punctual and reliable.
The post will be a 3 year fixed term contract, starting in September 2017
