We have a College Porter within the Facilities Division at Lancaster University. The post is a full time position working an average 42 hours per week on a 24 hour, 365 days shift rotation.
Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.
You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills. Portering experience is not essential but desirable with experience of working in a similar environment. You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training.
It is essential that you hold a full driving licence that is valid in the UK.
