We currently have several Facilities Coordinator vacancies in our flag ship Library facility.  Although based in the Library these posts will fall under the Facilities Division at Lancaster University and the successful candidates will form part of the Security and Porter team.

The vacancies are a mixture of 52 week and term time only posts (30 weeks).  

The successful 52 week candidates will work an average 27 hour week.  During term time the Library operates a 24 hour service so your working week will be made up of rotating 12 hour shifts.  Outside of term time the shift pattern will be dependent on the Library opening times and will be discussed at interview.

In addition we have Term Time only posts available, these posts will be night time shifts working an average of 18.5 hours per week, 30 weeks per year. The 30 weeks will be made up of three ten week blocks that will correspond with University term dates.

Facilities are responsible for all property services on behalf of the University, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, security, catering and general upkeep of the Estate.

You should be hard working, reliable, willing to learn and possess excellent customer service skills. Experience in a similar role is not essential but desirable as is experience of working in a similar environment.  You should be educated to GCSE level in Maths and English and be committed to high standards, able to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach and attitude to solving day to day problems. You should also have a willingness to undergo development training.  

It is essential that you hold a full driving licence that is valid in the UK.
