Lancaster University is seeking an HR Advisor to join their Service Delivery team. The team provides the operational interface, delivering efficient and effective services to the Faculties and Departments of the University, as well as operational support to the HR Partners.
You will primarily be responsible for providing generalist first line HR advice, guidance, support and interventions to managers and supervisors on all people related issues; and keeping the relevant HR Partner updated and informed. You will be expected to carry out all duties and activities in a timely manner, with responsibility for proactively referring complex cases to the relevant HR Partner.
You will have experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate an understanding of current employment law and HR best practice. You will be qualified to a minimum of CIPD Level 3 however CIPD Level 5, or working towards this, would be advantageous.
You must be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work proactively, collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues, whilst being able to work on your own initiative with the ability to plan and organise your own workload is essential; as is the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a variety of people whilst maintaining professionalism regardless of the method of communication.
