Lancaster University’s Stakeholder Relations and Events team is seeking an Engagement Officer to play a vital role in developing and delivering activities, administrative support, communications and events to support the University’s stakeholder and community engagement plans.
The Stakeholder Relations and Events team’s role is to develop stronger relationships between the University and its external audiences. These include VIPs, local business and community representatives, graduating students and the general public.
The post holder will manage key aspects of major community-facing events such as the biennial Campus in the City project and Community Day, and the organisation of the annual public lectures programme. This will include events organisation, communications, and liaison with suppliers.
The Engagement Officer will also provide administrative support across the team’s engagement activities, including the updating of CRM systems and websites, responding to enquiries, generating reports and surveys and feeding into the analysis and continuing development of our activities.
Good written and verbal communications skills will be vital in this role as the post holder will be an important point of contact for the team’s internal and external contacts and in developing promotional content for a range of on and offline channels.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced team and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
