We wish to appoint a Personal Assistant to provide high level support to the Chair in Digital Health,the latest strategic investment by the university, in addition to the creation of the £41 million Health Innovation Campus (HIC). The Chair and his team will lead interdisciplinary research across campus involving and academics from all faculties, and building on relationships within the NHS, the social care sector, local councils, and industrial partners. The Chair will also be leading the Digital Health Operating Steering Group (DH-OSG) appointed by the HIC to lead the development and implementation of the digital health agenda in the HIC. The successful candidate will be based in SCC within the iconic InfoLab21 research facility. PA support will also extend to the School Office for Computing & Communications.
You will focus on provision of proactive administrative support to the Chair in Digital Health & School Office. The role requires excellent organisational skills for managing the range of day-to-day events and activities taking place, for example: administrative support in coordinating interactions; organising internal meetings including the DH-OSG meeting; and planning and coordinating internal workshops and regional seminars.
You will have experience of working with office systems and procedures in order to maintain and prioritise a diverse workload. An ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential along with a degree of flexibility to meet the ever changing demands and development of the post. Experience of working as a Personal Assistant or in a similar role involving diary management, travel planning, meeting organisation, and the provision of proactive support to senior colleagues is essential. Some experience of financial/procurement systems is desirable.
This is a part-time post (0.5 fte) and is available with immediate effect.
