The post holder for this exciting new role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a series of high quality initiatives and activities that support the retention and progression of widening participation (WP) students studying at Lancaster and specifically within the faculties of Science and Technology and Health and Medicine. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in Student Based Services to compliment and support the work already undertaken by teams within this area. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced practitioner with knowledge of the student lifecycle in higher education as well as previous experience of delivering retention and/or progression activities and programmes and with strong project management experience.

The role holder must be willing to work flexible hours as the role will require occasional weekend, early morning or late night working as well as occasional periods away from home. 

You should be able to work on your own initiative, have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate confidently, fluently and knowledgeably with a range of stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
