Lancaster University Law School is a vibrant school that combines the disciplines of Law and Criminology. Having doubled in size in four years, the School is looking to expand its activities even further.
The Law School is consistently ranked in the top 20 in the UK league tables. The Law School pursues four main research concentrations: Crime, Law and Justice; Bioethics and Medical Law; Law and Society; International Law and Human Rights. It has also established, in conjunction with the Department of Sociology, a new Centre for Child and Family Justice Studies.
We are looking to appoint a Programmes Coordinator to provide a comprehensive and high level of administrative support for our degree programmes. This role will be primarily focused around the Postgraduate programmes however; we are looking for flexibility to help with Undergraduate administration where required.
Working in a lively and challenging environment, you will be expected to demonstrate initiative and the ability to communicate effectively; to prioritise and manage a diverse workload; to work flexibly in order to meet deadlines; and to work successfully as part of a team. We are looking for candidates with relevant knowledge and experience of office systems and procedures who possess excellent administrative, organisational, and IT skills.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of working in a busy office environment and expertise in Microsoft Office packages are essential.
This is a full-time indefinite post.
