Lancaster University has established a joint institute with its highly ranked partner Beijing Jiaotong University. The campus, Lancaster University College at Beijing Jiaotong University (LUC@BJTU), is located in Nanhai New District, Weihai, Shandong Province.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to for you to work at the campus and make a valuable contribution to the new joint institute.
You will support the Academic Dean of LUC@BJTU by playing a primary role in the coordination and delivery of a wide range of academic service functions at the LUC@BJTU campus. Working in close consultation with the appropriate colleagues at BJTU and Lancaster University, you will develop and implement the Campus’ policies and practices with respect to the effective delivery of academic support services. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a broad range of effective working relationships with colleagues at Lancaster University’s main campus, partner organisations and external stakeholders.
You will liaise with a wide range of senior decision-makers in external organisations and at events across the world, including Embassies, Schools and Further Education Colleges.
You should have experience of working in an administrative role, preferably in a Higher Education institution, with experience of communicating effectively with a wide range of people.
In order to be able to apply for this role, you must be eligible to work in the UK.
Accommodation would be provided along with a cost of living allowance. A relocation allowance to Nanhai, China, would be available along with a discretionary settling-in allowance. In addition, tax and visa support would be available along with a provision for medical insurance for time spent at Weihai. Annual return flights to China would be provided.
This is a full time, indefinite role.
