Applications are invited for a motivated and effective individual to join ‘The Base’ which is the ‘one stop shop‘ for Student Based Services.  Working closely with other members of the administrative team, you will be required to assist with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Base and provide a high level of administrative support.  The post holder will interact with staff and students from across the University in the ever evolving area of student support.

The Base meets student, staff and others’ requirements in respect of information, advice, documentation and a range of other administrative functions, in a highly customer-focused manner, whilst also supporting the overall operation of Student Based Services.

You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, a flexible approach to work, and a friendly and professional manner as you will part of a team providing a welcoming, efficient and helpful first point of contact. 

You will have the opportunity to study for a qualification in Business Administration in conjunction with Lancaster and Morecambe College. The successful applicant will need to have achieved 5 GCSE’s grades A-C including English and Maths. The training will take 20% of the working week.

This is a full time, indefinite post.
