Working with the Technical Team you will provide reliable and enthusiastic support in the teaching and research laboratories of the Division of Biomedical and Life Sciences, within the Faculty of Health and Medicine.

Your duties will be to assist with the preparation of undergraduate and postgraduate practical classes, autoclaving, waste disposal and other general laboratory duties in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with local Health and Safety rules. You will also provide assistance with maintenance and cleaning duties in the research laboratories and other areas of the Division.

A scientific or technical background would be preferable but not essential as full on the job training will be provided.

This post is offered on a 0.5 FTE basis working 5 mornings per week with holiday entitlement to be taken outside of university term time.  The Faculty is committed to family-friendly and flexible working policies and has held a Silver Athena SWAN award since 2014 in recognition of its good employment practice undertaken to address gender equality in higher education and research.
