The Department of Psychology is seeking to appoint a Student Programmes Officer to lead a small team of staff, working closely with academic colleagues, to support the delivery and administration of student programmes and the student experience across Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research studies.

This is a new role within the department, and will also have responsibility for providing leadership for a number of new and existing initiatives that target University priorities, including:

• Student retention
• Student experience
• Student employability

The ability to lead and work as part of a team; excellent communication and written skills; good office IT skills; experience of delivering Student administration, are all essential for this post. Experience of managing or leading a team to deliver a high standard of customer service, whilst ensuring ongoing review of practices and implementation of effective and appropriate change and development, would also be an advantage.

The Psychology Department is a busy teaching and research active Department. It is home to a friendly group of over 40 Academic staff, 17 Researchers and 17 support staff. The Department supports a large cohort of Undergraduate students; a thriving group of Masters and Postgraduate research students; and a wide range of research projects including several cross-institution grants.
