Project Administrator - NextGenChem

The Partnerships and Business Engagement team is looking for an outstanding administrator with a passion for working with academics, businesses and the knowledge exchange community to deliver a new European funded project. We are seeking someone with drive, ambition and vision to help shape our administrative process to support the companies we work with on the project.

You will be able to demonstrate strong domain expertise and the ability to provide a full administrative service with attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and excellent organisational skills. As the primary role is to administer a government funded project (funded through European Structural Investment Funds – ESIF), you will be able to clearly demonstrate a strong competency in the daily administration of such projects, it’s systems and procedures, engaging with internal and external partners, and the ability to propose and develop new fit-for-purpose processes and approaches for the project. You should also be able to demonstrate experience of financial management on large projects and ensure the adherence to the strict audit requirements of the team’s funded projects. 

Next Generation Chemistry Hub (NextGenChem) is a £4.9m ERDF programme awarded by MHCLG and Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership. NextGenChem is critical to supporting our wider strategy for partnerships and business engagement.

The role will be based at Lancaster University and be embedded within the Partnerships & Business Engagement (PBE) team for Engineering and Physical Sciences. Some further information about team activity can be found on the web site below:

This is a fixed term post until March 2023 and is part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
