Do you have a background and passion for Engineering and STEM? Do you have experience of enthusing and engaging with young people?

We are looking to appoint to a new role of STEM Engagement Officer based either on campus at Lancaster University or working from home with access to our London Office one day a week. The purpose of the role is to increase the number and quality of STEM applications (with particular emphasis on Engineering) from schools across the UK in line with the University’s recruitment strategy. You will be responsible for building relationships with subject specialist teachers and advisors in our target schools. You will design and deliver hands on curriculum focussed STEM engagement activities and offer advice and guidance to potential applicants and a range of stakeholders about courses and future career paths. The role will also require the evaluation of the impact of these activities.

Educated to degree level in a STEM related discipline, you should have a good understanding of the Higher Education decision making process, the ability to project manage and deliver against targets. You must be willing to work flexible hours and occasional weekends as the role includes travel across the UK.
