Information Systems Services is seeking to appoint 2 enthusiastic IT Engineers to work as part of its Faculty IT Engineer team supporting IT Services at Lancaster University working full time on campus. We have one permanent position and one fixed term position that will be covering a 12-month secondment.

As an IT Engineer will be joining a team based in the faculties providing second line technical support to users of the University’s IT services. Using ITIL based processes to deal with incident and service requests, you will be involved in a wide variety of technical challenges on Windows PC, Mac, Audio Visual systems. 

Your experience of working in a team based IT service environment as well as experience of PC and audio visual systems in use at Higher Education or equivalent establishments will be advantageous. You will combine your IT and problem solving skills with a strong user-focus to ensure an excellent service to the user community.

The posts will be normal business hours on campus, however on occasion there will be requirements to undertake paid work outside those hours. You will be offered opportunity to undertake apprenticeship training.

The ISS Faculty IT Group at Lancaster University provides high quality second line IT support services to approximately 16000 students and 4000 staff through the delivery of second line support based in teams on campus.
