Part-time Editorial Assistant (0.5 fte), New Phytologist

New Phytologist, one of the World’s leading plant science journals (ISI Impact Factor 6.645), seeks an Editorial Assistant for a one-year fixed-term post. You will be based at Lancaster University and over the course of the year you would gain hands-on experience and training as an Editorial Assistant involved in the publishing, promotion and development of a journal. A primary objective of this role will be to handle papers that have been provisionally accepted for publication through to final publication and subsequent dissemination. You will also be exposed to other areas of scientific publishing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic science graduate with excellent English language skills, good organization and teamwork, and the ability to respond flexibly to the needs of a small and busy office. This would provide an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in scientific publishing. The post is available immediately.
