There are a number of services available for new staff moving to Lancaster who require short-term accommodation.
This service is provided by the Students' Union and is primarily geared towards students. However the office also provides a service for staff. The majority of accommodation handled by the office is rented on a furnished basis however unfurnished property is occasionally available.

This service is provided by the Conference Centre and is designed for very short-term occupancy. The majority of rooms offer en-suite facilities on a single or twin basis but have very limited cooking facilities.

To open a UK bank account it is normally a requirement that the rental accommodation you occupy in the UK has been either i) arranged by the University or ii) is subject to a formal tenancy agreement arranged by an established letting agent such as a estate agency.
