You will work with the co-directors of the Medical Ethics and Law curriculum theme at Lancaster Medical School to develop and deliver high quality, innovative teaching and assessment in medical ethics and law as part of the undergraduate medical programme. You will work closely and flexibly as a team with members of the Medical Ethics and Law theme. This will involve providing administrative support for teaching and assessment where necessary for the theme, attending key meetings, assessment boards and assessment activities, and admissions activities. 

You will contribute more generally to teaching, learning and assessment across the portfolio of provision in LMS according to their experience, for example by supervising student projects as part of the Special Study Modules programme, and facilitating Problem Based Learning.

You will develop and deliver their teaching activity in line with requirements by the GMC and the needs of the Medical Ethics and Law Theme as set out by the Co-Directors Dr John Appleby and Dr Faye Tucker. Lancaster Medical School is based on the Lancaster University campus in the Health Innovation One building.

You will work closely and flexibly as a team with members of the Medical Ethics and Law theme. This will also involve providing administrative support where necessary for the theme, attending key committee meetings, boards and admissions activities. 

You will also contribute more generally to teaching, learning and assessment across the portfolio of provision in LMS according to their experience, for example by supervising student projects.

You will grow their teaching activity in line with requirements by the GMC and the needs of the Medical Ethics and Law Theme as set out by the Co-Directors Dr John Appleby and Dr Faye Tucker. You will be tasked with ensuring that the medical law offering in the medical degree remains innovative and of the highest quality. You must be able to adapt their teaching practices, strategies and materials to the dynamic and ever changing needs of the medical ethics and law teaching at the medical school.

The Faculty strategy has teaching collaborations as a priority, and you will have the opportunity to develop and contribute to teaching, learning and assessment in collaboration with clinical and academic colleagues with a very wide range of expertise.
