The Lancaster Environment Centre is one of the world’s largest centres for environmental research and teaching. Our mission is to perform world-leading fundamental research, using that research to advance understanding across society and to help solve global environmental challenges. A critical part of our endeavour is teaching and developing people to live within, and contribute positively to, more sustainable places and environments. We wish to appoint a part-time (0.5 FTE) Senior Teaching Associate (Grade 7) from 1 September 2024 for 10 months to cover a parental leave.

The post will cover undergraduate teaching and learning need related to glaciology modules as well as across environmental science and physical geography modules in the academic year 2024/25. This post has been created specifically to have a positive impact on the student experience and to enhance teaching quality. Teaching responsibilities will also include tutorials, dissertation supervision, assessment and marking.
