Monday 27 November 2017
As part of its programme of investment in research and leadership excellence, Lancaster University Management School is seeking to make outstanding appointments to the positions of Chair in Marketing and Chair in Marketing Analytics.
The Chair in Marketing will join the largest community of marketing academics in the UK, with research interests across the discipline. The Chair in Marketing Analytics is a newly-created position and signals the School’s commitment to positioning Lancaster as the UK’s leader in the marketing analytics field.
The School is triple-accredited and ranked first in the UK for research power, with a world-class research environment and strong links to practice. It has grown substantially in recent years and is benefitting from a £50 million investment in its infrastructure. The School comprises seven academic Departments, combining general and specialist undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes, and has a large doctoral programme. It delivers innovative customised executive and leadership education for large organisations around the world, in addition to bespoke services for small and medium-sized enterprises in England’s North West and beyond. The School is one of four Faculties within Lancaster University, which was recently ranked sixth amongst universities in the UK.
Possessing first-class leadership and scholarly credentials alongside a commitment to promoting research impact and to developing partnerships with external audiences, the Chairs will play a key role in mentoring Lancaster’s exceptional cadre of early career academics. In return, the School offers a supportive and collegiate environment in which to undertake path-breaking research, teaching, and engagement.
The interviews for the Chair in Marketing Analytics will be held at the University on Thursday, 18 January 2018 and for the Chair in Marketing on Tuesday, 30 January 2018. In both cases, short-listed candidates will be invited to give a presentation to the School and to meet academic colleagues the day before their interviews.
